Description
The Mummy 1932. An Ancient Egyptian priest called Imhotep/Ardeth Bay (Boris Karloff) is revived when an archaeological expedition finds Imhotep's mummy and one of the archaeologists, despite a warning, recklessly reads aloud an ancient life-giving spell and then loses his marbles.
Imhotep escapes from the archaeologists, taking the Scroll of Thoth, and prowls Cairo seeking the reincarnation of the soul of his ancient lover, Princess Ankh-es-en-amon.
This is probably one of my favorite Universal films from the 1930s. It's a love story that spans thousands of years. It also was just re-released on Blu-Ray in what is considered to be the best remaster they've ever done of it.

I love this entire series you are doing. I have to say as a personal preference, I think the b/w versions are my favourites. I guess it wouldn't be commercial enough, though. But the atmosphere is definitely darker in the mono. Top work, Shawn, looking forward to more
